A Few Tips.....
Before you delete on paper layer/go to selections/modify
smooth by ten/this way your edges won't look ragged/you also
either have the option of merging down or deleting the original
layer/which ever works for you/also it would be less confusing
if you label your layers on the template/so do that first

Open up Template and ShiftD and close original...delete
copyright layer/close all layers/copy/paste paper of choice
layers/load/save mask/locate mask/set with these settings
below/click ok
